Whistler Writers Festival
October 17 - October 20
Whistler Writers Festival was started by the Whistler Writing Society in 2002 and has become a popular event for those that love the literary arts. Events taking place over the four days include workshops, reading events, seminars, and panel discussions. There are events for all ages, with readings happening in schools and writing workshops aimed at children. There are also events taking place in the evenings that include food and music. You will have the chance to interact with established authors and writers making it an inspiring event for those that are beginning to write themselves; join in discussions and get the most from the experience. You can join a workshop or seminar and learn more about your craft, or you can listen to your favorite author tell a story at one of the reading events. The events also cover a wide variety of genres, from travel writing to cookbooks, so there is something for everyone. For those that love the written word, writers and readers alike, this is the perfect festival.
